Galápagos Discovery Week Kosher
Day 1 – Arrival in Quito The adventure begins the moment I land in Ecuador. The city greets me with its vibrant energy, and at the hotel, Chef Alexandra’s kosher dinner feels like a warm welcome. Meeting fellow travelers, I sense the excitement of what lies ahead.
Day 2 – Flight to the Islands We rise early to fly to the Galápagos. The salty breeze hits me as soon as we arrive. After a fresh kosher lunch, we set sail toward Santa Cruz. Iguanas bask on the rocks, seabirds soar above, and I realize I’m stepping into a living Eden. Dinner by the ocean seals the day with gratitude.
Day 3 – Sailing to Iconic Islands The boat carries us to North Seymour. Blue-footed boobies dance, frigatebirds spread their wings, and the island feels alive. Chef Alexandra serves a light kosher meal on deck, and later we snorkel among colorful fish. As night falls, the group gathers for a comforting kosher dinner, sharing stories of the day.
Day 4 – Meeting the Giants Santa Cruz reveals its ancient guardians: giant tortoises. Watching them move slowly, I feel time itself pause. Lunch is served in a tropical garden, kosher and refreshing. The afternoon stroll through Puerto Ayora is relaxed, and Shabbat dinner brings tradition and spirituality into the heart of the islands.
Day 5 – Virgin Beaches and Snorkeling Bachas Beach welcomes us with white sand and turquoise waters. We snorkel in crystal seas, surrounded by schools of fish. Chef Alexandra prepares a kosher picnic right on the sand. Sunset paints the sky, and dinner at the hotel closes a day of pure wonder.
Day 6 – Shabbat in Galápagos This day is dedicated to rest and reflection. Morning prayers by the sea, kosher meals prepared with care, and a calm rhythm that allows us to connect deeply—with tradition, with nature, and with each other. Shabbat in the Galápagos feels like a sacred pause in paradise.
Day 7 – Pinnacle Rock Farewell Our final navigation takes us to Bartolomé Island. Climbing to the viewpoint, I gaze at Pinnacle Rock rising from the sea like a monument of creation. Lunch on deck is kosher and joyful. That evening, our farewell dinner is filled with laughter, gratitude, and promises to return.
Day 8 – Return to Quito Back in Quito, the journey closes. Yet the memories remain: a week of discovery, kosher luxury, and encounters with the raw beauty of creation. The Galápagos has given me more than a trip—it has given me a story to carry forever.
We have daily departures, order of visits in the itinerary may vary from date to date, depending on availability.
