Yeah That’s Kosher

https://yeahthatskosher.com/

This site is great for finding out anything and everything about Kosher restaurants all over the world, if they’re still open, what certification they carry and many more. There are also some great itineraries on destinations with Kosher food and it’s nicely sorted by country/destination.

Great Kosher Restaurants

https://www.greatkosherrestaurants.com/

If you’re looking for specifics on a restaurant, like the menu, average check price, phone number, link, address, etc – this is the place. They also run a huge whatsapp and facebook community where you can ask any question and someone is bound to answer within a few minutes.

Hamsa Nomads

https://www.hamsanomads.com/

This is a brand new site, trying to create a community out of Jewish travelers. They run retreats for young adults and run a Whatsapp community. They also publish great guides for select destinations like this one on Vietnam: https://www.hamsanomads.com/trips-page/Vietnam-kosher.html. The guides are still currently being worked on.

Safe For Jews

https://safeforjews.org/en

Chances are you’ve asked yourself this question before travelling anywhere: How safe is it for Jews? This site does an amazing job of scraping the news for any anti-semitic events and creates a rating per country based on that. People also share their own personal experiences to give you a full picture. Use this tool with common sense. The news is often biased, so a country with a bad rating might not feel unsafe when you’re actually there.

MyZmanim

https://www.myzmanim.com/search.aspx

My go-to for zmanim every week – this site is especially important when travelling. They even have an in-flight zmanim feature to help you figure out when to daven while 35,000 feet in the air.

Mikvah.org

https://mikvah.org/directory

If you need a mikvah while travelling, Mikvah.org has you covered with their map of all Mikvahs all over the world. For each one you can find the contact info, supervision info, type (ask your LOR which to prefer) and more. It’s recommended to always call ahead the specific mikvah you’re visiting to make sure it’s open and someone is present.

Chabad Locator

https://www.chabad.org/jewish-centers/

No list is complete without a link to the Chabad Locator. This needs no description, if you’re a Kosher traveler, you’ve undoubtedly used the services of a Chabad house somewhere. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all hard-working shluchim out there offering a welcome place to all Jewish wanderers out there.

Dan’s Deals Forum

https://forums.dansdeals.com/

While it may look outdated, this forum is home to a lively community of avid Jewish travelers. You can use the search to find trip reports people shared or more random information on any location. You might need to read through tens of pages of back and forth, but chances are that the answer to your question is somewhere in there. Or just create an account and ask your questions in the right topic. Someone is bound to answer soon enough.

CRC Kosher

https://consumer.crckosher.org/

An invaluable resource for anyone keeping Kosher, this site extra useful when travelling. The list of acceptable kosher establishments, the list of foods not requiring certification, and their logo scanner are just some of the great tools they have. You can find many more lists and tools on their website.

Is It Kosher

https://isitkosherapp.com/

A global search for Kosher products throughout the world. Choose the destination you are travelling to and search for the food you are curious about to see if it’s one of the local hechsherim’s Kosher list. This is especially great for countries that don’t put kosher symbols or rely heavily on Kosher lists.

Kosher World Search

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kosherworld.app

Gone are the days of hunting down kosher certification websites, downloading PDFs, and scrolling endlessly to find a single product. Kosher World App brings the world’s kosher product directories together in one place — with a powerful search bar and coverage across 35+ countries and 91,000+ certified products.

Eruv Directory

https://www.eruv.org/eruv-directory/

Easily look up which destinations have an eruv and find all related contact info to check the current status. Always double check the status before relying on it Shabbos.

Go Daven

https://www.godaven.com/

Calling itself The Worldwide Minyan Database, Go Daven is the first place to check when looking for a shul near your destination. With filters for distance, nusach, and time, you can easily narrow down which minyan is right for you.

Tzenters App

https://main.tzenters.com/

Find, Join or Create a pop-up Minyan. Check the app to see if there’s a minyan near your location and time to daven. If there isn’t one, create your minyan! Don’t worry about committing. Everyone can see how the minyan is forming in real time (You can always leave the minyan if your plans change, and others can still daven at the minyan you created even if you can’t!)

Kosher Apps

There are currently three mobile apps that act as a Kosher restaurant locator:

Each has pros and cons. If you travel a lot, we recommend you try them all to find the one you like most.
